Prana Yoga
Light Legs
Carla's note
A ten-minute sequence, almost all of it on the floor, for anyone who spends the day standing or sitting. After releasing the shoulders and settling the breath in a seated position, the work focuses on Balasana and on openings for the glutes and hips, which stretch the external rotators of the hip. A seated forward bend lengthens the hamstrings, followed by a release of the lower back and a short Savasana. Recommended at the end of the day.Carla Gonçalves
The practice, step by step
- 1Shoulders and breathing, seated
- 2Child's pose, glute and hip opening on the floor
- 3Seated forward bend, releasing the lower back and a short Savasana
If it is your first time
Keep the knees bent in anything that stretches the legs, directing the breath to the area being stretched. If the hips complain, simply take the knees wider apart.
If you already practise
Stay five breaths longer in each hip opener and, at the end, extend Savasana with the legs raised against a wall.
What you need

About Prana Yoga
Prana Yoga is BeYoga's own approach: a Hatha practice with conscious breathing from beginning to end, where each pose is built with alignment and the transition matters as much as the arrival. It works strength, mobility and attention at the same time.
